Why's Mike Shanahan cutting some of our good players, because I think Devin Thomas is better than Joey Galloway from what I've seen so far this season. Colt Brennan is better than John Beck. To me, last season LaDell Betts was better than Cliton Portis until he was injured. Antwaan Randell El is someone to count on to make a play on the offense, don't know why the coach got rid of these players. Also I don't know why he haven't played some of our other good players. Before McNabb came to the Redskins, ESPN compared Jason Cambell to Donovan McNabb, and Jason Cambell was better than McNabb last season. Sometimes I don't think the Redskins can be a powerhouse until there's a new owner, or until Daniel Snyder can be seen and not heard.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3770280957787036005.post-15133154835682101552010-10-11T16:45:32.037-04:002010-10-11T16:45:32.037-04:00In response to the above comment about Aikman, I d...In response to the above comment about Aikman, I did notice that he chose to sport a burgundy and gold tie last week during the Skins/Eagles game. That couldn't have been an accident. Perhaps a nod to the fact that the Washington fans never threw batteries at him, at least.richard_friendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06786164286971454198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3770280957787036005.post-34616415208415253922010-10-11T15:33:57.332-04:002010-10-11T15:33:57.332-04:00I agree John we are watching a team that gives up ...I agree John we are watching a team that gives up yards but not points. We are watching a QB lead an offense that is erratic but is showing us something new...."the BIG Play"...something and I quote all pro Tight End Chris Cooley, "something we have not seen in a long time in Washington, something we rely on from Donovan."<br />As far as this coach and GM go they are leading while it seems to be getting to know the talent very slowly. I am happy with the talent at RB as a back-up to Portis for a game and a half. If we can make it through the season with a healthy O-Line they will begin to function better as a unit which will add consistency to the running and passing game. Where was Fred Davis our number one scorer last season in the game against Green Bay? Donovan getting hit time again while going through his reads and still being able to hit the big play earned respect from me....and he did not drop the ball even though he was holding it in one hand while getting hit from behind.<br />Why do we have color commentating from Troy Aikman? His career was ended from a sack by yours truly a Redskin. His career was spent watching film on how to beat this team. The man can not say a good thing about the Redskins during the game or a call that is made during the game by the refs he seems always to slant it as luck for the Redskins. Please unless this change is made ask Thiemann to do color commentating for all the Giants game's in a season and the NFL may wake-up and smell the coffee: Having a homer do the color commentating is better than having a rival do the color commentating that is why we will all turn to Sony and Sam on the radio.<br />JEA3Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3770280957787036005.post-10354733966200799602010-10-11T15:02:47.636-04:002010-10-11T15:02:47.636-04:00I agree, the problem with the Redskins, as well as...I agree, the problem with the Redskins, as well as years in the past, is the front line and protection. McNabb was sacked FIVE times. Was rushed all day. I am a fan of Jason Campbell, but if Jason was still teh QB, we would have lost I think. McNabb did as well as he could with the situation. If the line could protect him, we would light up the score board with touchdowns, no doubt in my mind...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3770280957787036005.post-16103690508362236092010-10-11T14:31:49.484-04:002010-10-11T14:31:49.484-04:00Is it just me or was the only time McNabb had succ...Is it just me or was the only time McNabb had success with passes was when he threw it straight down field.
